In part 1 of Mist Survival, Rev finds and shows how to set up your base and the things you should build first. Fighting bandits and zombies gives you bags of sugar, duck tape and carrots. As it stands now, there really is no reason to head out any more as it is just an empty barren land. The fun of leaving your base and heading out to scavenge was one of the great parts of the game.
